The note on this is: good for sandwiches.
1 small package of dates
1 teaspoon soda
3/4 cup boiling water
Cool and add to 3/4 cup of sugar
1 Tablespoon butter
1 egg
1 3/4 cup flour
1 cup chopped nuts
bake one hour in a moderate oven.
there is no note on this, but i assume that this would be done in a greased loaf pan, but perhaps a coat of flour would not hurt as this is a bit like a cake.
