Burrill Family Sponge Cake after 1919

3 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 cup boiling water
Salt
Flavoring


Separate the eggs;
Beat the whites to a stiff froth;
Pour the boiling water over the yolks while beating;
Add the sugar and beat;
Add the flour and beat;
Gently fold in the whites.

Bake 35 minutes at 300
